Moose Jaw Band And Choral Festival

At our 2005 festival, the amazing True North Brass of Toronto performed double duty. During the three days of the festival, the members of the group conducted fabulous clinics with concert and jazz bands from across Western Canada. And on Thursday, May 19, the group performed at a standing-room-only concert in the Mae Wilson Theatre. The concert was an outstanding success. Pictured in the group are (L to R) Jim Gardiner, Joan Watson, Ray Tizzard, Scott Irvine, and Al Kay. The TNB have promised to return to Moose Jaw !
Guest artists for our Wednesday Night Show on May 18, 2005 were the very talented jazz vocalist Karen Marklinger with Jim Gallagher on piano and Peter Dyksman on bass. The trio performed to an appreciative packed house in the Mae Wilson Theatre.
These photos were provided by longtime festival supporters, Dr. Fred and Mrs. Sonia McWilliams, Moose Jaw. If you have any other historical photos of the Moose Jaw Festival (particularily of the last block of Main Street - since lost in the tragic fire) , they would surely be appreciated.
They can be emailed to Bill MacDonald in jpeg or tiff format.
Our 55th Annual Festival in 2004 was dedicated to the late Clifton Bryson (1918-2004).
