To those of you who attended our Festival last week, thank you for coming.  We hope you had fun and learned something new while here.  We certainly enjoyed having you and hope you will come again next year.  Festival dates are May 18,19 and 20.

If you were fortunate enough to have tickets for either of the Night Shows…..WOW!  The True Jive Pluckers put on a show par excellence and I noticed a good amount of cash was being spent at the CD table.  Then we heard the National Youth Band of Canada.  I understand that several bands were there to see and hear their band mate who had auditioned for and won a seat with the NYB.  Congratulations to each of these outstanding student musicians.  Thank you to Troy Linsley, NYB Manager and Tim Linsley, SBA Executive Director for including Moose Jaw in the NYB concert schedule. 

This was our first attempt at two shows in one night and I think, all in all, it went pretty well.  We don’t want to move out of the beautiful Mae Wilson Theatre for our Night Shows, so this is the only way we can accommodate more students in the audience.

Unfortunately we had a few concert bands left behind on the waiting list for 2009.  Both concert band venues were full by Christmas, so if you want to ask for a certain performance day and time, better get on it asap.  By that, I mean June!

Have a wonderful, relaxing summer and we hope to see you again in 2010!
